Where in Chur is the Christmas market?
In the old town: Obere Gasse, Ochsenplatz, Untere Gasse, Kornplatz, Casinoplatz, Majoranplatz, Martinsplatz and Poststrasse; the 2026 stand plan also has stalls by the town hall and on the Arcas. On the map: pick a street or square and tap the stalls.
Who are the stallholders, and who has which stall?
The organiser speaks of more than 150 stalls; the 2026 stand plan numbers them up to 167. According to its rules, the Verein Churer Weihnachtsmarkt will publish a list with stall number, contact and goods on its website. Until then the stalls are called «Stand 1», «Stand 2» and so on; the names follow as soon as the list is out.
How do I get to the Chur Christmas market?
On foot from Chur station along Bahnhofstrasse to Postplatz, where Poststrasse with the first stalls begins. Nearby bus stops are Postplatz, Fontanaplatz and Malteser by the Obertor; by the Arcas the RhB stops at Chur Altstadt. Nearby car parks are City and Stadtbaumgarten. The map shows all stops and car parks.
Where are the toilets at the Christmas market?
The stand plan shows toilet cabins in the Nikolaigasse by the Kornplatz and on the Majoranplatz. The map also shows public toilets nearby, including a wheelchair-accessible one by the Arcas.
Is the Christkindlimarkt Chur the same as the Christmas market?
No. The Christkindlimarkt of the IG Christkindlimarkt Chur runs from 27 November to 23 December 2026 on Bahnhofstrasse and Poststrasse, with about 40 to 45 market huts; goods stalls daily 11 am–7 pm, food stalls 11 am–9 pm (christkindlimarkt.info). The Chur Christmas market in the old town lasts only two days.
